After the holiday wish list for women last week, a few of you asked when the gift guide for guys was coming because you need to get moving on your shopping. HA! You and me both!! I’m glad I’m not the only one who is not done shopping, wrapping or even decorating yet – for me it’s all a work in progress right up until the end, every year!
I actually wasn’t even planning to post a guy’s gift guide but considering I’m a mom to two teen boys, wife (to Westwood High School’s Mr. Best Dressed 1987, a little tidbit I so enjoy throwing around), sister to brothers, daughter-in-law and lucky aunt to several fine lads, I have a lot of guys to buy for so I do have a few ideas on this subject to pass along! A lot of these are great gifts for the ladies in your life too.
LL Bean’s Fleece Lined Flannel Shirt
Huge family favorite last year! Peter’s girlfriend gave him one for his birthday, and we all loved it so much I bought them for one and for all – including nieces and nephews – and dare I say, they were a big hit! Lots of different plaid colors and women’s sizes also (and a cute hoodie verion).
I shared these etched glasses on a Paint Color Crush design board (Newburyport Blue in the Study) and gave a couple of them to Mark. He loves the size and we hope to add a few more cities to our collection (there are 24 available).
I adore my Dremel, seriously, and have it used it for so many random projects around the house including removing built-in shelves from our family room bookcases, cutting the bottom of door trim when tiling the bathroom floor, and sanding the details when I refinished and limed our dining room table. It has so many uses I haven’t even tapped into yet!
I asked Mark what he would recommend and this is his pick…..the newest version of Sonos speakers that is voice controlled. He’s obsessed and chances are one of the guys on your list is too.
Guy Fieri’s Family Food Cookbook
Any Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives fans like us out there? I know, actual physical cookbooks are becoming less common with the internet at our fingertips, but this is a fun book to look through and get inspired to try new recipes. By the way, did you know there are DDD apps you can download to locate restaurants that have been featured on the show? Super fun if you’re on college roadtrips with your kids. This is the one I have.
Peter received one of these as a graduation gift and it is lightweight but sturdy and such nice quality!
This one is great for short overnights and has a long shoulder strap too.
Bose Soundsport Wireless Headphones
These are sweat and weather resistant, and come with three sizes of tips which if you’ve worn headphones in your ears before you know is the biggest pain – getting them to stay in or be comfortable! These also have up to 6 hours of battery life per charge which is great if you’re using them at the beach or while traveling.
Old Navy Flannel Pajama Bottoms
They always go on sale around Christmas time…..currently $9-11!
Games
Word on the street is that Santa is sending one or two of these to our house this year.
