Welcome to June’s edition of My Five Favorites, the monthly series I co-host with Kris from Driven By Decor, Pam from Simple Details, and Jennifer from Dimples & Tangles! This month, we’re thrilled to have Sarah from Life On Virginia Street guest hosting with us.

Sarah’s home is stunning (don’t miss her latest tour this week). One of my favorite spots is her newly redesigned guest room. It’s beautiful!

I first discovered Life On Virginia Street through Sarah’s tutorial on sewing a throw pillow with a zipper. It inspired me to dust off my sewing machine and give it another try. Sarah’s talent for transforming her home with fabric is incredible. Her blog is full of projects and ideas that are easy to tackle. I’m so excited to have her join us today!!!

Narrowing down this list to just five fabrics was tough. I adore fabrics even though I don’t sew often. These are five go-to favorites I keep coming back to. I’ve included pillows to help you visualize how these fabrics could look in your home.

I tried to limit my list to just five fabrics, but let me tell you – for someone who can barely sew, I have an undeniable obsession with fabrics! After much consideration, I chose five staples I continually return to. These favorites cater to various budgets and styles. I’ve highlighted several pillows to help you visualize these fabrics in your own space.

Honorable Mentions

Here are a few more fabric favorites I just couldn’t leave out! These honorable mentions deserve a spotlight of their own.

I adored this design so much that I created my own budget-friendly version for just $8. Even though I love my DIY, the original is still absolutely stunning.

A versatile and classic fabric that I’ve come back to time and time again. It’s affordable and comes in a variety of colors, making it perfect for multiple projects.

Nate Berkus Baltic

I used this fabric to craft a cornice board for our bathroom and repurposed the leftovers to make two napkins. When mixed with white linens, it creates a beautifully curated tablescape.
By The Yard: $9.99 at Joann Fabric

If you, like me, are drawn to high-end fabrics, satisfy your love for luxury by incorporating small amounts into your projects. A single yard can go a long way—think cornice boards, cloth napkins, table runners, bulletin board covers, or decorative pillows. With a yard of fabric, you can even make two pillows by using a solid backing on one side.
