Hello, friends of the blogosphere! As August draws to a close, it’s time for one of my favorite traditions the Best of the Nest Party! This is where we come together to showcase the best projects we’ve worked on over the past month. Whether it’s a DIY, a home makeover, a craft project, or a small tweak that made a big impact, this is the space to share and inspire.
A Look at My August Project

This month, I only completed one project, but it’s one that means a lot to me a vintage-inspired sign for our dining room. If you’ve been following along, you know how much I love adding meaningful touches to my home. This sign is a nod to Cape Cod, a place filled with wonderful memories for my family. With its rustic charm and nostalgic appeal, it brings a bit of the Cape into our everyday lives.
If you’re interested in creating something similar, I highly recommend looking for reclaimed wood or aging a new piece with simple distressing techniques. A little sanding, some well-placed paint, and stenciled lettering can create a piece that feels truly authentic.

Standout Projects from Our BOTN Hosts
The Best of the Nest Party wouldn’t be complete without the incredible work of my co-hosts. Every month, they create projects that are not only beautiful but also inspiring. Here’s what they’ve been up to in August:

- Jennifer impressed us all with her Horchow-inspired fur ottomans. They are both chic and luxurious, yet surprisingly simple to recreate. And the best part? The source of the fur is completely unexpected you won’t believe it!Find Jennifer at:

The rich colors and intricate patterns make it a true statement piece. And if that wasn’t enough, her Craigslist settee is still one of my favorite finds.Find Pam at:

Mounted on hooks next to her table, they serve as both decor and a convenient way to keep fresh herbs within arm’s reach. This is such a clever way to bring a bit of nature indoors while maximizing space.Find Kris at:
