Welcome to Paint Color Crush, a weekly design incorporating a winning paint color with some great finds, and recommendations for ways to save, splurge, and DIY the look.

Since it’s March and the month to celebrate the arrival of springtime, as well as St. Patrick’s Day and the Emerald Isle (near and dear to my heart!) I thought it would be fun to explore some gorgeous greens this month. Affliliate links are included in this post for your convenience.

Today’s color is a fresh and bright green sure to bring some life to your home!

Here’s how I’m dreaming of using this color:

navy + kelly green + white + natural  elements

in a fresh, light filled space!

Jute Border Rug | Blue & White Ginger Jars | Navy Armchairs | Slipcovered Sofa | Coffee Table |Side Table Lamp | Green Pillow (PillowTimeGirls/Etsy) Navy Pillow | White Greek Key Pillow (PillowTimeGirls/Etsy)Original Art (Painting Meg/Etsy)

SAVE on the navy chairs (on sale at the moment!)

SPLURGE on a this slipcovered sofa. Mark’s parents have had a sectional from C&B for over 20 years and it’s still going strong, and our own favorite sofa that we’ve ever owned, for comfortability and durability, was from Crate and Barrel. Sadly in our last house we had a septic flood in our basement where the sofa was being stored temporarily, and everything that was down there had to be thrown out. After trying a few other sources over the years, next time we buy a couch we’re definitely going back to C&B!

SPLURGE also on a beautiful, original piece of artwork. Etsy is such a great resource for one of kind pieces from talented artists, including this beauty by Megan Smey at Painting Meg. Her other pieces are gorgeous too!

Blue Mountain

I love love love this one of the Irish coast!

Hidden Bay

DIY – paint something this delicious kelly green (Greenbelt SW-6927).

A small dresser or console table, the back of bookcases, thrifted lamps……give this color center stage for a pop of fresh green that lends itself to so many color palettes throughout the year. Blue & white ginger jars or pottery pieces look SO beautiful against a green backdrop – they are seriously the perfect marriage.

HONORABLE MENTION – the Robert Allen Malakos fabric is reminiscent of malachite and works with so many different colors! Incorporate it into your space in the form of pillows, or buy it by the yard and recover dining chair cushions or an upholstered bench (hmmmm….I just so happen to have a bench that needs recovering!).

Have you seen how my dear friend Jennifer of Dimples & Tangles used this fabric to completely revive stools she found on Craigslist (with barely any sewing I might add!)? Now you see why I’m obsessed with this fabric. Isn’t she amazing? Check out the transformation and tutorial here.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this design and all the ways you can bring it to life in your own abode! If you’re intrigued by SW’s Greenbelt, see it in different spaces by following the Paint Color Crush Pinterest board.
